Fallen av Karin Slaughter är den femte boken i serien om Will Trent.

Jag fortsätter läsa serien om Will Trent av Karin Slaughter som jag köpte på loppis i engelsk pocket. Den fjärde boken heter Broken.

Sara Linton åker hem till sina föräldrar för att fira Thanksgiving. Det blir inte riktigt som hon tänkt sig då hon blir indragen i ett mordfall. Den misstänkte mördaren mår inte bra och gråter cellen och hon är den enda läkaren i närheten så hon kallas in för att lugna honom då han tidigare var en av hennes patienter när hon hade praktik i Grant County. När det sker ett självmord i häktet kallas Will Trent in. Ingen av dem verkar vara välkomna och Lena Adams (som Sara inte tycker om då hon arbetade med Saras man då han dog och Sara tycker det är Lenas fel) vill inte samarbeta.

A Winter Haunting

En fortsättning på A summers night som jag läste i somras. Detta är tydligen del tre vilket jag inte visste när jag läste den. Har missat att Children of the night kommer mellan. Men det har inte så stor betydelse, det mesta man förväntas känna till är från den första boken.

Dale Stuart är nu en professor och författare. Han är ledig efter ett misslyckande i jobb och sitt förhållande för att skriva en bok och hyr ett hus i sin gamla hemstad Elm Haven. Faktiskt samma hus som hans kompis Duane bodde i, kompisen som dog den där sommaren när det hände konstiga saker. Och det verkar som om det händer saker fortfarande och Dale är inte ensam i huset.

Boken var inte lika bra som Summer of night, den är inte lika skrämmande och mer långsam. Kanske fungerar skräck bättre när det är barn med i historien?

Lättläst och spännande serie på bara fyra böcker. Jag har saknat detta sedan jag läste serien om Sookie Stackhouse. Nu måste jag kolla upp fler böcker av författaren för att ha att läsa när jag är nere i en lässvacka.

The Infernal Devices - manga

The Infernal Devices finns även som manga i tre delar precis som böckerna. Det är samma historia fast lite kortare och mer lättläst. Jag gillar historien om Tessa, Will och Jem som utspelar sig i det Viktorianska England bland demoner och skuggjägare.

Jag läser nog hellre om de riktiga böckerna än de här, fast vill man läsa serien lite snabbt för att komma in i världen så fungerar de. Jag rekommenderar de riktiga Infernal Devices framför serien The Mortal Instruments, den borde finnas i serieform så man kan ta sig igenom den snabbt.

The Fireman

Under oktober och november var jag med i en readalong av The Fireman av Joe Hill.

Människor smittas av något som kallas för Dragonscale, man vet inte vad det kommer ifrån men man riskerar att helt plötsligt brinna upp efter att ha fått guldskimrande mönster på kroppen. Många smittas och städer brinner ner när det sprider sig över världen.

Harper är sjuksköterska och älskar Mary Poppins, alltid positiv och vill hjälpa till så hon jobbar extra på sjukhuset där smittade kommer in. Hennes man är inte lika förtjust i det. Han är rädd för att bli smittad och vill att de gör en självmordspakt ifall någon av dem skulle bli smittade. Det blir problem när hon upptäcker att hon är gravid och smittad av Dragonscale.

En annorlunda apokalyptisk dystopi där några personer smittade med Dragonscale trots allt ser positivt på världen.
