En bok om The Golden state killer som var aktiv mellan 1976 och 1986. Han mördade minst 13 personer, våldtog fler än 50 och gjorde över 100 inbrott. Han har undvikit att bli fast i många år men 25/4 2018 så anhölls Joseph James DeAngelo, en 72-årig man, då man ska ha DNA-bevis.

Författaren fick inte vara med om detta då hon dog två år innan han anhölls och boken gavs ut i februari 2018 nästan två år efter hennes död och har kommentarer om saker som inte riktigt var sammanställda när hon dog.
