I en sorts framtid är världen förstörd. Många människor har förvandlats till "eaters" och det är farligt att gå ut. Frost är ensam i lägenheten, hon har bara sin robot och sitt sjuka husdjur som sällskap. Men hon tvingas ge sig ut och leta efter ett botemedel och träffar för första gången andra människor än sina föräldrar.

Det borde verkligen komma en fortsättning på boken. Allt är inte avslutat, så vi får hoppas på en bok till.
