Fick Borne av Jeff Vandermeer i The Nocturnal Readers Box i maj 2017. Dags att läsa den nu, och varför har jag väntat?

 Det är en värld som har förändrats, bioteknikföretag har skapat olika varelser och en av den är en stor flygande björn. Rachel hittar en liten grön klump och tar med den hem, hon kallar den för Borne. Klumpen som hon kallar Borne växer och blir större och större.

Borne är en annorlunda varelse och jag gillar den. Jag växlade mellan boken hemma och ljudbok till och från jobbet. Gillade uppläsaren. Är lite sugen på att läsa fler böcker av författaren.

Hell hound

Baxter är en hund som vet vad han vill. Han vill ha den perfekta ägaren och inget stoppar honom.

Man får berättelsen i boken berättad genom Baxters ögon och vissa kapitel genom människorna i Baxters närhet. Krypande obehagligt och jag kommer aldig mer att se på en hund på samma sätt.

Little Heaven

Tre prisjägagare (tror jag man skulle kunna kalla dem på svenska) får i uppdrag att kolla att Ellens systerson mår bra. Han är i Little Heaven med sin pappa där en religiös kult håller till. Det visar sig att det inte bara är en kult som kan vara faran utan det finns mycket annat att vara rädd för runt omkring Little Heaven.

Gillade huvudpersonerna, en spännande och ibland riktigt obehaglig bok. Kommer att läsa fler böcker av författaren framöver!

The Devil Crept In av

En bok från The Nocturnal Reader's Box. Första boken jag läser av Ania Ahlborn.

10-åriga Stevies kusin Jude försvunnit och han vet att något otäckt har hänt. Ingen vill tro honom och han får inte vara med och leta. Det är inte bara Jude som försvunnit utan djur har också gått in i skogen och aldrig kommit tillbaka. Sedan i andra delen av boken blir det bara värre och mer otäckt.

Jag vill läsa mer av författaren!

Mapping the Interior

En kort liten bok som jag fick i Boxen med Infected and infested från The Nocturnal Readers Box.

Boken handlar om en pojke som ser spöket av sin döda far. Det är långsamt och krypande och otäckt.
