Bok nr 10 i serien om Dr Ruth Galloway. Jag orkade inte vänta på att den kommer på svenska så jag läste den på engelska. Som alltid spännande och lättläst. Nu blir det bara att vänta på nästa bok i ett år...

Ruth blir bjuden till Italien för att kolla på några ben som en kollega hittat vid en utgrävning/tv-inspelning. Det är rätt tid att ta semester så Ruth och hennes bästa kompis Shona åker till Italien med barnen för att sola och bada samtidigt som Ruth ska kolla på gamla ben. Men det blir naturligtvis mer än så. Ett mysterium både i Italien och i UK.

Stephens & Mephisto Mystery

Elly Griffiths har inte bara skrivit serien om Ruth Galloway, hon har också skrivit en serie om Stephens & Mephisto. Det finns fyra böcker ute nu och jag har läst de tre första. De finns inte översatta till svenska utan man får nöja sig med engelska.

Edgar Stephens är polis i Brighton och året är 1950. Han var med i kriget i en grupp som kallades för Magic Men tillsammans med bland annat Max Mephisto. När Stephens utreder mordet på en kvinna kommer han att tänka på tricket Zig zag girl och tar kontakt med Mephisto. De lyckas tillsamman komma nära sanningen om vad som hänt, kanske lite för nära?

Jag gillar serien och tycker böckerna är bra (men jag tycker nog ännu mer om serien om Ruth Galloway).

En kvinna i blått

En kvinna i blått är den 8:e boken i serien om Ruth Galloway. Hon jobbar på universitetet som arkeolog och kan allt om gamla ben. Ruth träffar en gammal vän och är ännu en gång inblandad i en mordutredning.

Jag tycker att även om boken var bra så saknade jag på något. Jag tyckte mycket om den men kanske gjorde att den utspelade sig nästan helt i den lilla byn Walsingham att det inte blev samma känsla som vanligt.

En riktigt bra bok som tog slut för fort. Ser fram emot nästa bok i serien, som alltid.

"När Ruth Galloways vän Cathbad vaktar ett hus i pilgrimsorten Walsingham i Norfolk, får han en kväll syn på något högst märkligt. På kyrkogården i närheten av huset sitter en ung kvinna, klädd i nattlinne och blå morgonrock. Morgonen därefter hittas hon död i ett dike utanför Walsingham. De öde fälten

 En ny bok i serien om rättsarkeolog Ruth Galloway som jag helt missat när den kom ut på engelska. Blev nr 3 i kön på biblioteket och fick den äntligen för en vecka sedan. Det känns som att återse gamla vänner när man läser om Ruth, Nelson och alla de andra. Att man kommit till bok nummer sju i serien redan, hur gick det till!

Nu har det gått ett par år sedan förra boken och Ruths dotter Kate fyller 5 år. Som ensamstående mamma brottas Ruth med att få tiden att räcka till för både jobbet och föräldraskapet, och så hjälper hon till med polisutredningar om de hittar gamla ben eller skelett naturligtvis.

På en byggarbetsplats så stöter en grävmaskinist på ett flygplan från andra världskriget. Piloten sitter kvar i planet och Ruth kallas in för att hjälpa till med att bestämma hur gammal kroppen är. Det visar sig vara lite av en gåta som för utredningen till familjen Blackstock som har en grisfarm vid fälten där planet hittades.

Spännande och vissa delar väldigt oväntade. Ser redan fram emot nästa bok om Ruth och alla andra. En serie som har sin självklara plats i bokhyllan hos mig.

Ny biblioteksbok

Det har äntligen blivit min tur att få låna Elly Griffiths femte bok om Ruth Galloway, En orolig grav. Ozzy ser lite orolig ut, kommer några katter att råka illa ut i den här boken? ;)
