The Infernal Devices - manga

The Infernal Devices finns även som manga i tre delar precis som böckerna. Det är samma historia fast lite kortare och mer lättläst. Jag gillar historien om Tessa, Will och Jem som utspelar sig i det Viktorianska England bland demoner och skuggjägare.

A prequel to Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series, The Infernal Devices is the story of Tessa Gray, a sixteen-year-old American girl traveling alone to Victorian London who runs afoul of the city's sordid supernatural underworld. Rescued by the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, Tessa quickly finds herself caught up in an intrigue that may very well destroy her new friends - including the two enigmatic young men, Jem and Will, who have taken her under their wing... 

The Clockwork Prince
The second instalment of The Infernal Devices follows Tessa and her two dashing Shadowhunter companions, Will and Jem, as they travel throughout Victorian England seeking the full truth behind the Magister's sinister plot. Jag läser nog hellre om de riktiga böckerna än de här, fast vill man läsa serien lite snabbt för att komma in i världen så fungerar de. Jag rekommenderar de riktiga Infernal Devices framför serien The Mortal Instruments, den borde finnas i serieform så man kan ta sig igenom den snabbt.

Clockwork Prince & Clockwork Princess

Jag har lyssnat på de två sista delarna i serien The Infernal Devices på vägen till och från jobbet.

Man får fortsätta att följa Tessa i viktorianska London. Hon är på institutet och 

Det är en del kärlekshistorier i boken som känns lite fåniga (fast lite bättre än i Mortal Instruments) men jag tycker att resten av historien fungerar och det blir spännande. Kommer Tessa att få veta vad hon är? Kommer den onda skurken att fångas? Kommer konsuln någon gång att tro på dem? Spännande och lättlyssnat.

Clockwork Angel

Clockwork Angel är första boken i serien The Infernal Devices (ID). Det är samma författare som till serien The Mortal Instruments (MI) och utspelar sig före MI. Serien ID finns inte översatt till svenska och första har jag lånat på biblioteket.

Även om ID utspelar sig före MI så är har jag läst att det är bättre att läsa dem i den ordningen de kommit ut, annars är det risk för spoiler då vissa saker förklaras i senare böcker. Jag har läst de markerade i fet stil så jag ligger lite fel men nästa bok blir Clockwork Prince.

Det börjar liknande som i MI, en ung flicka som inte känner till något om nedomvärldare hamnar mitt i allt och träffar skuggjägare, men nu är vi i 1800-talets London istället  för dagens New York. Jag gillar miljöerna och det steampunkiga samt historien och mytologin bakom allt. Hoppas att kärlekshistorien kommer att vara i bakgrunden för det är lite störigt med tjej som inte kan välja mellan två killar. Kommer att läsa fortsättningen Clockwork Prince och Clockwork Princess, eller kanske lyssna på dem som ljudböcker då de finns på Storytel vilket denna första inte för pga någt om rättigheter.
